JDS FirelineSolutions.
Helping a firefighter-founded startup get a life-saving rescue product off the ground.
Practical, firefighter-designed rescue gear for the places where injuries happen.
When the litter is too far away.
Founder Joshua Smario is a CAL FIRE Fire Apparatus Engineer with nearly a decade of fire service experience.
On the line, he kept running into the same challenge: providing care and moving injured firefighters in remote terrain when traditional rescue equipment was unavailable, impractical or too far away, which can lead to further injury or worse.
That challenge became the Red Bank Rescue Pack™, named after the station where his career began in 2016. My job was to give it a website that could earn trust from firefighters, agencies, manufacturers and supporters.
The Red Bank Rescue Pack™.
A compact, roll-deployable patient movement system that pairs with standard hand tools and fits in a line pack. Patent pending, in prototype evaluation.

Three moves.
Unfold. Rig. Carry out.
The mission leads with a real firefighter, so the purpose lands before the product. Then the steps are written so a firefighter gets it in seconds, and specs are set up for agencies as prototype evaluation continues.

In the pocket.

Built to build support.
The founder’s story, the mission and clear calls to action help the project reach agencies, manufacturers and donors who fund prototype refinement and field testing.
